거북이매듭 TURTLE KNOT IN PINE GREEN

    A symbol for protection, wisdom and longevity, the guh-book-ee, or turtle, once appeared from the Luo River and gifted humans with the 8 bagua of the I-Ching, the Yellow River Map (Hetu), and in Korea the Turtle Ships (guh-book-sun 거북선) that were resilient against invaders during the 16th century.
